Innovations for scaling up to city-wide sanitation

October 2012

An international workshop on 'Innovations for Scaling up to City-wide Sanitation' was organised on October 16-17, 2012. Participants included national and international practitioners and researchers. Presentations helped to review experiences from several countries that have developed and implemented innovative solutions for effective sanitation management. The workshop deliberations explored adaptation and replication of these experiences in India. The discussion focused on both technology and governance-related aspects in the context of city-wide sanitation planning.
