City sanitation planning and ODF
Drawing on emerging global practices and findings, a framework for city-wide sanitation assessment and planning was developed. This framework is used in small and medium-sized cities to assess the current sanitation situation and identify improvements. Our activities in this area range from understanding determinants of open defecation; identifying good practices; supporting the development of policy frameworks; and providing demand-based support to cities to make them open defecation free.
