Sinnar City Sanitation Plan

May 2014

Sinnar is a medium-sized city with a population of 65,000. About 6% of households live in slums. Open defecation rates are high at 13% with high dependency on community toilets by households in both slums and non-slum areas. The city is dependent on septic tanks as a mode of collection of faecal waste. The CSP focused on moving to on-premise toilets to all and a PPP-based IFSM.
