Performance Based Contracts for Engaging Private Sector in FSSM - Flyer

The cities of Wai and Sinnar in India have tested out model contracts for provision of FSSM services by the private sector. These contracts are balanced agreements that protect the interests of all parties – private sector, city governments and citizens. The contracts have been designed to be ‘performance based’ meaning that they specify what the service provider must deliver in order to get paid, and not the inputs or material used.
