Exploring PPP Opportunities for Smaller Towns in Maharashtra

A workshop was organised by CEPT University in partnership with AIILSG and Dalberg Advisors on "Exploring PPP opportunities for sanitation in smaller towns in Maharashtra" on 4th July 2014 in Mumbai. This workshop was as a part of PAS Programme activities to implement city sanitation plans (CSPs) for small towns of Maharashtra. The presentations in the workshop were made on: a) Consumer financing options for demand-based own toilet scheme and b) PPP options for IFSM plan. The possibility of private sector participation for these services was assessed and various options were developed. The deliberation focused on choice of appropriate contract and financing options, as well as measures for proper management of related risks.
