IT Enabled Monitoring Systems for FSSM

The cities of Wai and Sinnar are working towards becoming ODF++ with the construction of an FSTP and commencement of scheduled desludging of septic tanks. In order to ensure efficiency and sustainability of operations, the cities are implementing smart monitoring mechanisms for these sanitation services. These include (a) SaniTab a monitoring and database creation system consisting of a mobile app for online form filling and a real-time dashboard. (b) SaniTrack a system for tracking scheduled emptying services which eliminates paper-based reporting formats and moves to on-screen signatures and receipts along with real-time and geo-tagged information on dashboards. (c) GPS tracking of trucks for monitoring safe disposal of septage (d) Treatment quality monitoring system at FSTP.
