Technology Options for Septage Treatment

Our work on technology options for on-site sanitation systems has reviewed available options for the full service chain. Based on an extensive review of literature, various technologies for septage treatment have been compiled and assessed. Factors such as site conditions, land availability and financial aspects have been considered. Another study compared conventional and non-conventional technology options at city level and identified local level advantages and disadvantages as well as costs of different options.
