Beyond ODF- Government Resolution for ODF+ Cities by Govt. of Maharashtra

As part of our support activities, a framework for ODF and ODF ++ cities was developed. It focuses on septage management and safe disposal as the next step for a city, after becoming ODF, in order to sustain the status. Government of Maharashtra has released a Government Resolution outlining the conditions for becoming ODF, ODF+ and ODF++. According to the resolution, ODF cities can use SBM incentive funds and 14th FC funds for obtaining the ODF+ and ODF++ status. Cities that become ODF+ and ODF++ will be validated by a State level Committee and given a certificate. The Government Resolution is available on the Govt. of Maharashtra website.
