Landscape Review and Strategic Roadmap for Used Water Management in Maharashtra
January 2024
The Government of Maharashtra (GoM) is keen to explore ways in which measures for reuse of used water (treated wastewater) can be implemented more effectively, especially in towns with a population of 1,00,000 or less. CWAS in partnership with Urban Innovation conducted a landscape study of reuse of used water in the state of Maharashtra. The purpose of the study is to understand lessons and challenges associated with reuse in class II and III cities. It suggests policy, programme and project level measures that state and local governments can undertake.
