A Review of Performance Benchmarking: Urban Water Supply and Sanitation

This report reviews various present and past efforts at benchmarking water and sanitation services. Cases from within India, across the globe, of various approaches, and by different stakeholders were studied in an attempt to draw lessons for designing robust benchmarking systems in developing country contexts. These learnings have been incorporated in the PAS system developed for India under the project.
