Awareness Generation Initiatives under Swachh Maharashtra Mission for Urban Areas (SMMUA) for Wai and Sinnar

Awareness activities are critical for successful implementation of community led programmes. This compilation brings together activities undertaken in Wai and Sinnar in Maharashtra for making them open defecation free. These activities were designed and carried out by CEPT and AIILSG team with support from municipal councils and other local stakeholders.n A lot of materials have been developed during the course of city support to Wai and Sinnar to communicate behaviour change for stopping open defecation and encouraging citizens to construct toilets while benefiting from the state and city schemes
