Performance Assessment of Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Data Books - Maharashtra

Part 1 - State Data Book: The annual State Data Books (Part 1) provide state level performance for each sub-sector along with information on top performing cities. The sub-sectors include: water supply, wastewater and sanitation and solid waste management. These data books are available for each year as well as a separate volume provides trends for the past 5 years. The latter report gives trends in Service Level Benchmarks (SLBs) of Water Supply and Sanitation over the five year period from 2008-09 to 2012-13. It enables the reader to review changes in SLBs at the state level.n n Part 2 - City Data Book: The annual City data Books (Part 2) provide details for all cities in the state. The reports are classified by the municipal status of cities: Municipal Corporations and Municipalities. n Municipal Corporations have population of more than 300,000. Municipalities are divided into four categories as: Class A (100,000 to 300,000), Class B (40,000 to 100,000), Class C (less than 50,000) and Nagar Panchyat (as notified). n These data books are available for each year as well as a separate volume provides trends for the past 5 years. The latter report provides gives trends in Service Level Benchmarks (SLBs) of Water Supply and Sanitation over the five year period from 2008-09 to 2012-13 for each city.
