Methodology for Methane Quantification from Sanitation Service Chain

GHG emissions in the WASH sector often rely on national or state-level data. These fail to capture the technical and operational complexities in developing countries. This methodology, developed for India and reviewed by domain experts, details approaches to measure methane emissions through on-field measurements at various generation points across the entire sanitation service chain. Such measurements will help refine ways to reduce emissions by improving service efficiency and enhancing resource recovery.
