Geo-hydrological and Aquifer Studies - Gandhidham and Anjar

CWAS with technical assistance from Arid Communities and Technologies (ACT), conducted comprehensive geohydrological studies of the two cities of Gujarat - Anjar and Gandhidham. These studies aimed to identify critical areas for groundwater recharge and to recommend effective techniques for implementation. By understanding the local aquifer, the project pursued to optimize water management strategies tailored to the region’s specific needs. The findings from the study, acts as a guideline for the two cities to implement various rainwater harvesting strategies and ground water recharge technologies across the cities.
