CWAS @ Stockholm World Water Week 2022

The World Water Week at Stockholm is considered to be the leading conference on global water issues. World Water Week 2022 was organized from 25th-31st August.

CWAS team has actively participated in this conference previously. This year also CWAS has showcased its work through various panel discussions and presentations.

25th August

    CWAS jointly organised a session with NIUA & SIWI. The online session was titled "Managing urban rivers – reinventing the river city connect". Arwa Bharmal presented on WASH Governance of river cities using the PAS-SLB framework. Dr. Dinesh Mehta and Dr. Mehta were part of the panel discussion.  

29th August

    Dr. Meera Mehta was part of a panel at a session on water-related investments and economic development where various international organizations showcased their innovative approaches to finance water related projects where she talked about ESG assessments for attracting city investments.
    Dr. Dinesh Mehta spoke about PLAM (Performance Linked Annuity Model) for scheduled desludging in Wai city at a panel discussion on how market can be created for innovative sanitation technologies and its enabling environment.

30th August

    Dr. Meera Mehta spoke about her insights on strengthening mumicipal finances for water supply in a session held by the World bank, WHO and UNICEF on state of the world's drinking water.
    Kasturi Joshi presented on climate action with Sinnar city’s urban forest and used water reuse at a session on "Valuing wastewater for new solutions - Innovations driving value".

31st August

    Jigisha Jaiswal presented on Maharashtra state’s nature based FSTPs at scale at a session on "Tools for Valuing Ecosystems and Nature - based Solutions"
