Climate Indicator Framework for Urban - Integrating with Performance Assessment System (PAS)

This directed research project addresses the urgent need to tackle climate change in urban areas by developing a Climate Indicator Framework integrated with Performance Assessment Systems (PAS). Focusing on India's urban challenges of growth and emissions, the study aims to develop a framework tailored to Indian cities. The framework assesses cities' adaptation and mitigation efforts, particularly in Water, Sanitation, Solid waste Management, and Stormwater Management (WASH) services, identifying areas for improvement. Using this framework the challenges faced by cities both small-scale and large-scale cities can be identified along with the areas of interventions the cities can incorporate in order to becoming climate-adaptive and mitigate risks.
