India ranks as 127th country in terms of Gender Inequality Index (Human Development Rights, 2018).,With the alarming influx of population increase in urban centres, lack of adequate sanitation facilities, gender issues have emerged as a major concern. This research assesses the aspect of gender inclusion in sanitation service delivery chain in the city of Wai. It considers on-ground work for understanding contextual challenges and opportunities for integrating gender needs in sanitation service delivery.
