The Center for Water and Sanitation (CWAS) at CEPT Research and Development Foundation (CRDF) focuses on transforming governance and monitoring systems for climate resilient, safe and equitable water and sanitation services. The team designs and delivers solutions through action-research and advisory services in partnership with all levels of governments - national, state and local as well as other ecosystem players. CWAS believes in systemic and inclusive implementation at scale and aims to foster strong relationships with key stakeholders with a focus on long-term outcomes.

CWAS has ongoing research activities and projects in Gujarat under which applications are invited for the position of Research Associate. Work in this role will include assessment of water, sanitation and solid waste management services based on which proposals will be developed and pilot projects around service improvements would be implemented in consultation with city governments and local stakeholders. CWAS team works in synergy and there is a lively office environment. New members are supported and encouraged by all team members.

Roles and Responsibilities:
•    Support programmatic activities in water, sanitation and solid waste management projects
•   Carry out discussions with stakeholders and local government officials from assessment to implementation stage
•    Support implementation of sustainable and inclusive solutions in cities and rural areas
•   Prepare documents such as assessment reports, correspondences, meeting minutes, and presentations
•    Support relationships with various stakeholders including relevant national, state government and local government officials

Expected Attributes:
•    Candidates with upto two years of experience on research/consultancy/project assignments on water and sanitation development projects.
•    Familiarity with urban and rural water and sanitation research
•    Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular)
•    Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
•    Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•    Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask

Field Locations: Viramgam (Ahmedabad District), Gandhidham (Kutch District) and Bechraji (Mehsana District), Gujarat, India

Remuneration: As per industry standards
