Jay Shah
Program LeadJay Shah is a development professional with over 12 years of experience in the Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) sector and working with various level of governments to strengthen urban service delivery systems. His work focuses on improving municipal services across water supply, sanitation, solid waste management and used water management with a strong emphasis on promoting climate resilience, circular economy, equity principles. His key areas of interest include climate resilience, circular economy, municipal capacity strengthening, digital monitoring systems, policy support, institutional strengthening and application of innovative technologies to monitor and improve urban WASH services. He has conducted numerous training programs for various stakeholders such as government officials, elected representatives, urban poor communities and urban practitioners. He has also been empanelled as a National Master Trainer (NMT) under the Swachh Bharat Mission–Knowledge Management Unit, contributing to capacity building efforts on various aspects of solid and liquid waste management. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and a Master's degree in Infrastructure Planning from CEPT University, Ahmedabad.
