The Gandhidham Municipal Corporation and Gandhidham Development Authority, in collaboration with the Center for Water and Sanitation (CWAS), CRDF, CEPT University, and the The Gandhidham Chamber Of Commerce & Industry (GCCI), organised a one-day training workshop for architects, engineers, and builders under the initiative Jal Sanchay Jan Bhagidari 2.0. The workshop focused on highlighting the importance of water conservation through rainwater harvesting and groundwater recharge, while emphasizing the critical role of architects, builders, and engineers in advancing water-sensitive urban development. The session also showcased practical approaches, design considerations, and implementation techniques for integrating rainwater harvesting and groundwater recharge structures across various building and site scales. Through technical discussions and practical insights, the training aimed to strengthen the capacity of built-environment professionals and encourage the adoption of sustainable water management practices in urban development.
