Water Governance Hub Roundtable Meeting
February 2020
India faces a severe water crisis, both in terms of quantity of drinking water available and its quality. There is a need for a state-of-the-art Water Governance Hub (WGH) that not only addresses current issues and challenges but accounts for anticipated drivers of water security as well. The main purpose of the WGH is to assist national, state and local governments in water and sanitation reform by providing policy and technical advice, developing water governance knowledge and helping to strengthen institutional capacity. A roundtable meeting was organised by the C-WAS in partnership with National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA) and the Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI) to deliberate on various water governance challenges, experiences of various stakeholders and innovations.
