Training on Waste Management Regulations - Solid Waste Management and Plastic Waste Management Rules at Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation

CWAS team conducted a comprehensive training session on the latest Solid Waste Management (SWM) Rules and Plastic Waste Management (PWM) Rules for officials from Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation and Vadnagar, Shika, Kutiyana, Jam Jodhpur and Maliya Miyana Nagarpalika. The training was inaugurated by Shri J. N. Vaghela, IAS, Municipal Commissioner, Gandhinagar, and was chaired by the Deputy Municipal Commissioner, Assistant Director of the Sanitation Department, and the Assistant Municipal Commissioner. The training session successfully strengthened more than 50 participants including Chief Officers, Sanitary Inspectors, City Managers, and Engineers Officials.
The main objective of the training is to strengthen understanding of SWM and PWM compliance, including EPR, circular economy principles, and governance practices, to support effective implementation across participating ULBs and Build capacity of ULB officials by clearly clarifying their roles and responsibilities under the SWM Rules and PWM Rules.
