Swachhata Knowledge Partner (SKP), SBM-U, Gujarat

CWAS is empanelled by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) as Swachhata Knowledge Partners (SKP) - an initiative under Swachh Bharat Mission 2.0 (SBM 2.0). CWAS, in collaboration with the Urban Management Centre (UMC), partnered with the Government of Gujarat as SKP from March 2024 to March 2025 and conducted trainings for various levels of government officials. The trainings were focussed on SBM 2.0, Nirmal Gujarat 2.0, Swachh Survekshan 2024, Swachhatam portal, business models for sanitation, NAMASTE scheme and good practices across solid waste management (SWM) and used water management (UWM). These trainings not only strengthened the capacity of government officials for SBM 2.0, but also served as a platform to share their on-ground experiences and operational challenges across sanitation and waste management. These challenges were shared with SBM-U, which led to several actions aimed at supporting cities in various initiatives under SBM 2.0.
