GSAC 2026 Report
February 2026
The Global South Academic Conclave (GSAC) 2026 Report presents the key discussions, experiences and learnings from the third edition of the conclave on WASH and Climate Linkages, held at CEPT University, Ahmedabad on 6–7 February 2026. Bringing together over 750 participants from more than 50 countries, the conclave created a vibrant platform for researchers, practitioners, policymakers and development organisations to exchange ideas on building climate-resilient and inclusive water and sanitation systems. The report captures insights from keynote sessions, panel discussions, technical presentations and poster sessions that explored critical themes such as climate adaptation, governance, financing, innovation, data systems and equity in WASH services. It reflects the growing shift from discussions and evidence-building towards practical, on-ground solutions and collaborative action. Most importantly, the report highlights how experiences and innovations emerging from the Global South are shaping new approaches to resilient and sustainable WASH systems worldwide.
