Climate responsive WASH services - MoU for support to Majhi Vasundhara Mission in Maharashtra

The Majhi Vasundhara (My Earth) Abhiyan, is an initiative by the department of Environment and Climate Change at the Government of Maharashtra, to create awareness on the impacts of climate change and environmental issues and to encourage implementation of mitigation and adaptation measures.

On World Environment Day 2023, an event was organized by the Govt. of Maharashtra, where CWAS signed a MoU for engaging with the department of Environment and Climate Change Department to develop action plans for climate responsive urban water supply and sanitation in cities of Maharashtra. The activities will include technical assistance on development of the concept, policy guidelines and scalable solutions. This initiative by CWAS is supported by HSBC India as part of its CSR initiative on climate change.
